Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov received a delegation headed by Turkish Deputy Defense Minister Hasan Kemal Yardimci December 11, who was on a visit to the country, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told Trend.
While welcoming the guests, Hasanov said that the military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey is based on the friendly and fraternal relations.
As for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Hasanov stressed that the liberation of Azerbaijani lands occupied by Armenia is of great importance for the region.
Yardimci expressed satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan. He stressed the role and importance of making such visits for strengthening the relations between the two countries.
Other issues of regional and bilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
Turkish Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun attended the meeting.
