Azerbaijan, Slovenia mull co-op within Southern Gas Corridor
Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 25
Azerbaijan and Slovenia have discussed in Baku the cooperation in the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor project, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement Oct. 25.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Alojz Kovšca, President of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, in the framework of the 6th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the current level of relations between the countries, stressed the need to strengthen ties of cooperation in the energy, agricultural, tourism and other fields.
Mammadyarov thanked the President of the National Council of Slovenia for the fair position of the Slovenian legislative body, based on the norms and principles of international law, and the decision taken by it on the Khojaly genocide.
The parties discussed projects being implemented at the initiative of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, an exchange of views on issues of mutual interest took place.
