BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. A presentation of the Azerbaijani language edition of “The Robber” novel of famous Swiss writer Robert Walser was held in Bern, Switzerland on June 20, Azerbaijani Ambassador Fuad Isgandarov said on Twitter, Trend reports.
According to Isgandarov, the event held at the Robert Walser Center was attended by leaders of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations in Switzerland.
Speaking at the presentation, Head of the Center Reto Sorg informed in details about the difficult life path and activity of the writer.
The event participants got acquainted with the center and the exhibition demonstrated there.
A student of the Bern Music School Amil Abdullayev, who participated in the event, performed masterpieces of Azerbaijani music on the piano for the guests.
Isgandarov, speaking at the presentation, informed about the events which were held by the embassy and covered various areas, and stressed the special importance of events organized in the field of culture.
The ambassador called on members of the diaspora to continue to be active, contributing to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland.
At the end of the event, an agreement was reached on the further development of cooperation between the embassy and the Robert Walser Center.
