SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, June 15. The Shusha Declaration signed between Azerbaijan and Türkiye is not just a document of strategic partnership between the two states but also praises the spirit of unity in the entire Turkic world, and this document is also one of the factors strengthening the unity of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), a member of the Security and Foreign Policy Council under the President of Türkiye and the head of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Friendship, Cooperation, and Solidarity Foundation Aygun Attar said, Trend reports.

She made the statement at the panel session "Turkic World 2040: a conceptual view of the future " within the framework of the international conference " Organization of Turkic States: towards new strategic goals in the context of geopolitical realities and global cataclysms" held in Shusha on June 15.

According to her, at present, the objective of the Organization of Turkic States is to be the leading force of Turkic cooperation from political, economic, and humanitarian points of view.

"The strategic vision document "Turkic World-2040," adopted at the 8th Summit of the Heads of Turkic States in Istanbul, sets the goals of cooperation between Turkic countries for the next 20 years from a geostrategic perspective. The first strategic document of the OTS begins as follows: "We live in an era that requires a strategic vision to recognize and respond to rapid global changes and their impact on us".

Thus, developments around the world necessitate the need for strategic vision in an international, regional, and intercontinental sense. The geography defined in Turkic World 2040 is the geography of Eurasia, in which the member states of this organization are located. The most basic force needed to govern Eurasia is healthy cooperation under the auspices of the OTS.

In this sense, the vision document, prepared in light of the areas of cooperation within the OTS, consists of four sections: "Political and Security Cooperation," "Economic and Sectoral Cooperation," "People-to-People Cooperation," and "Cooperation with Third Parties." This document is intended to help both regional and international parties clearly understand the time requirements and concretely demonstrate the final steps to be taken for this purpose. Thus, 'Turkic World 2040' is in itself a geostrategic document," she said.

Attar mentioned that the fundamental principles of international law contained in the Nakhchivan Declaration, the founding document of the OTS, are sovereignty, equality, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of borders.

"It is very significant that this factor is also reflected in the vision of "Turkic World 2040," she added.

Attar also emphasized that turning the set goals into reality will increase the geopolitical power of Turkic cooperation in Eurasia.

To note, the international conference "Organization of Turkic States: towards new strategic goals in the context of geopolitical realities and global cataclysms" is being held in Shusha under the organization of the New Azerbaijan Party. The conference is attended by up to 300 guests, including leaders of the ruling parties of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and observers.

Three plenary sessions will be organized within the framework of the international conference: "Organization of Turkic States: Regional contribution to global security," "Unity of modernity and common values: Party diplomacy as a new platform for dialogue," and "Turkic World 2040: a conceptual view of the future".
