BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. All necessary conditions for parliamentary election observation have been created in Azerbaijan, Head of IPA CIS observation mission, First Deputy Secretary General of the CIS Leonid Anfimov said during a media briefing, Trend reports.
He reminded that the observation mission has been conducted since August 13.
"Observers representing Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of CIS member states, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, as well as the Executive Committee, were accredited as part of the mission," Anfimov also said.
He noted that the mission was conducted in accordance with the provisions of the existing CIS documents on the standards for democratic elections, electoral rights and freedoms of citizens, principles of non-interference in electoral processes, internal affairs of the state, Azerbaijan's electoral legislation, and based on generally accepted principles and norms of international law in the field of election organization and conduct.
