BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the dissolution of the State Contract Corporation “Azerkontrakt” OJSC and the settlement of issues arising from this, Trend reports.
The decree stipulates that the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will assume the responsibilities previously held by "Azercontract" OJSC concerning the procurement of natural gas from the domestic market of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as its transportation, distribution within the country, and sale to consumers.
