BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 19. The Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) will continue to support the issue of Palestine on its agenda, Secretary General of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly Mohammad Reza Majidi said at the 15th plenary session of the APA on the topic "The Role of Parliamentary Diplomacy in Strengthening Multilateral Cooperation in Asia" in Baku, Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
He made it clear that the APA is all in when it comes to backing the Palestinian people.
"A humanitarian tragedy occurred in Gaza. In the last 15 months, the infrastructure has been destroyed. Hundreds of Palestinians, including children, have died. We maintain at least a small hope that the ceasefire will be long-lasting. The APA intends to continue keeping this issue on its agenda," he added.
The 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), under the auspices of Azerbaijan, has commenced in the capital city of Baku. The gathering features a cohort of 35 delegates, encompassing approximately 280 stakeholders, with a plethora of critical topics slated for discussion on the agenda.
