AZERI MPs AIM ISOLATE INT’L ISOLATION OF NORTH CYPRUS, PRESIDENT OF NORTH CYPRUS

В"The key objective of the Azerbaijani parliamentarians, who are currently visiting the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus (TRNC) is to remove the long international isolation of this country,В" Mehmet Ali Talat, the President of North Cyprus told journalists, Trend reports.

Regarding the reports on the opening of direct air transportation between Baku and Lefkoshu, the capital of North Cyprus, President Talat said that it did not mean the official recognition of the TRNC by Azerbaijan, but only assist in breaking the international isolation of the Cupreous Turks.

The same time President Talat underlined that the last steps by the Azerbaijani government will enable to move the negotiations on resolution of the Cyprus problem. В"I think this position will push the Greek community of Cyprus to take active steps on the resolution of the conflict,В" he stressed.

The same time the diplomatic sources in Cyprus did not assert information on agreement on direct flights from Baku to Lefkoshu.

During 5-day visit MPs plans to meet with President Talat, ex-President Rauf Denktash, Speaker Fatma Ekenoglu and Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer.
