“Allotment of free air time only to four organizations in the parliamentary elections is incorrect decision,” Asim Mollazada, the chairman of the Democratic Reforms Party, candidate balloting from Nasimi 2nd constituency 22, told Trend.
In accordance with the Elections Code, the candidates of the registered political parties and blocs from over 60 constituencies receive opportunity to use free air time.
According to Mollazada, the parties holding free agitation on TV channels received the opportunity at the expense of the rest candidates. “The elections are a competition of candidates, but not parties.
Therefore, the giving of the right only to two parties and blocs is unfair decision and disproportionate with the election principles. Nevertheless, we aren’t frightened of the non-giving of the air time,” he added.
