В"PROGNOZВ" CENTER WILL HOLD EXIT-POLL ON PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS DAY

An independent centre for sociological researches (ICSR) В"PROGNOZВ" (“Forecast”) plans to hold exit-poll on the parliamentary elections day on 6 November 2005 in Azerbaijan. While holding the exit-poll the methods, developed by the specialists of the Centre based on experience analyses of the leading countries of the world in this field and adjusted to our country’s conditions will be applied, the Centre told Trend.

The exit-poll will be conducted in all constituencies, its results will be given to the media and all persons concerned after closing the polling stations, the Centre noted.

В"PROGNOZВ" was established in April 1999 and officially registered by the Azerbaijan’s Justice Ministry в"- 685 dated 26 May 1999.

The principal lines of the ICSR’s activities are conducting sociological
and marketing researches, information and analytical consultations, projecting and creating the PR and advertising campaigns concept, political consulting. The Centre carries out polls, analyses of the population’s attitude to various social problems, events, political leaders and institutions, materials in the media and etc., including the quality researches вЂ" expert polls, in-depth interviews, focus-groups, case-study and others.

From the moment of the establishing the ICSR В"PROGNOZВ" conducted about 300 various sociological and marketing researches in politics, economics, socium, culture, media and etc. ICSR performed works for state structures, political parties, international and regional public institutions, foreign and local business units and others.

At the presidential elections of 15 October 2003 the Centre carried out the exit-poll throughout the country, during which 5.033 people were polled at 356 polling stations in 244 populated settlements of Azerbaijan.
