“On Sunday the observers of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of NATO verified unsatisfactory attitude to local observers by representatives of election committees during the elections,” Loick Bauvard, the deputy head of the PA NATO monitoring delegation, said to a joint news conference of international observation delegations in Baku on Monday, Trend reports.

“The results of the observation were also included into preliminary report of the OSCE/ODIHR,” Bauvard underlined. He stressed that international observers registered cases, when local observers were not admitted to counting of votes.

Bauvard stated that the relations between Azerbaijan and NATO develop on increasing line. If in 1999 Azerbaijan had only status of observer at the PA NATO, the Azerbaijani representatives participated in the meetings of the organization as full members from 2002. “We are interested in continuation of close cooperation with Baku, basing on common democratic values,” he concluded.
