Mishlin Kalmi-Rey, the Swiss Foreign Minister, intends to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan. The issue was touched upon at the talks of Khalaf Khalafov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, with M.Ambukhl, the State Secretary of the Swiss Foreign Ministry, during the working visit to Geneva, the Azerbaijani Foreign Affairs Ministry told Trend.
The sides also achieved an agreement on holding of the next meeting of the Joint Commission on economic cooperation in Bern in the first quarter 2006. The sides considered signing of some agreements on cooperation in the nearest time such as joint statement on migration between foreign policy establishments of the both countries, agreement on protection and facilitating of investments, liquidation of double taxation and cooperation in technical, financial and humanitarian spheres.
During the meeting the sides also discussed safety and protection of state borders, held exchange of opinions on the Nagorno-Kabakh conflict, as well as cooperation in agriculture, tourism, ecology, culture and education.
