Azeri, Turkish scientists unify efforts with respect to reveal truth on so-called Armenian genocide' of 1915

Scientists of Azerbaijan and Turkey will unify the efforts through establishing a joint working group with respect to inform the world community about the truth of the so-called Armenian genocide in Osmanly Empire. The resolution was taken on 15 May as a result of an international conference on Armenian issue in Azerbaijani and Turkish history, Trend reports.

The head of the History of Turkey Department, Prof Yusuf Khalachoglu, and rector of the Baku State University, Abel Maharramov, signed Baku declaration. The second item f the document envisages the establishment of the joint working group. Along with Maharramov and Khalachoglu, other 2 co-chairs of the group are to be the head of the Institute of Azerbaijani History, Yagub Mahmudov, and the chairman of ATIB, Ahmed Erentok.

A working group will assemble in every 3moths in Baku and Ankara by turn. The first gathering will be held in Ankara. Moreover, in compliance with the Baku Declaration, with respect to inform the international community about the Khojaly genocide, committed from the beginning of 20th century to 1992, when the Armenians killed mercilessly the Azerbaijanies, it was resolved to establish a Coordinating Center to be governed by ATIB.
