The key task of the Azerbaijani economy is to develop the non-oil sector, industry, infrastructure and solve social problems. It is linked with the economical potential of the country, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said on October 31, while making a speech before the community in the opening ceremony of Dashkesen Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise.
According to the State Head, the primary goal of Azerbaijan is to cerate a strong state with steady economy. It may be achieved through creating new industrial productions. The economical growth in Azerbaijan over the period of 9 months equaled 34% and the industrial production has increased by 40%. It is the highest indicator in the world, Aliyev said.
According to the President, the infrastructure is fully renewed in the country, especially an ore mining and processing enterprise is put into operation in Dashkesen district. It is a great event assuming an historical significance for the development of the region. The new industrial complex will develop the non-oil sector. This enterprise was created in 1940 and has effectively functioned for many years. However, it stopped its activities in 1990. We gave a new life to the enterprise, the State Head said.
Over the period of three years, more than $2 mln will be allocated to this enterprise. According to Aliyev, Dashkesen district has large opportunities, potentials and good nature. Opening a new road from Ganja to Deshkesen will promote the development of tourism in this region. Within a short period, a new road meeting all international standards was constructed in the region. We carry out the road constructions in a very speedy pace and the main condition is that they should meet the latest modern standards, Aliyev emphasized.
In Dashkesen, the President participated in the opening of the monument named after Heydar Aliyev and visited Heydar Aliyev Museum, newly renovated school, as well as opened a new building for families of martyrs.
