A sitting of Majlis (Assembly) of the opposition party Musavat is not expected to be held in the near future, Arif Hadjili, Deputy Chairman of the Party, informed Trend today.
He said that according to the Chamber, the meeting of the Majlis is to be held four times a year, and added that the Party is not about to meet any time soon. Notably, more than 20 seats in the Majlis of the Party are vacant. Mr. Hadjilli pointed out that elections my not be held at the next meeting of the Majlis of the Party. Elections will depend upon a decision made by the Mijlis of the Party, he said.
Mr. Hajjili also pointed out that the Musavat party has prepared a complaint against the Baku Executive Power which accuses the City Administration of violating the rights of the citizen to gather freely. The complaint is expected to be sent to the Courts.
The opposition party Musavat was established in 1992. Isa Gambar, the Chairman of the Party was the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan's Parliament) in 1992-1993 and a candidate in the last presidential elections in 2003.
