Col.-Gen. Safar Abiyev, Azerbaijan's Defence Minister, has met Stepan Volkovetsky, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, as well as the recently appointed Ukrainian Military AttachГ© to Azerbaijan, Mayor-Gen. Vasily Vengerin today, on January 30th. Trend has been told by the Press Service of the Azerbaijani Defence Office, the parties discussed prospects of bilateral military and technical co-operation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine during the meeting.
The meeting with the Ukrainian Military AttachГ© was of a friendly nature. Col.-Gen. Safar Abiyev congratulated Mayor-Gen. Vasily Vengerina on his new appointment and wished him every success.
During the meeting, the parties in particular marked on the high level of development in Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations in many areas.
