Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. K. Zarbaliyeva/ Ten foreign citizens have been detained and then released to the security bodies of the country as a result of an incident between these people and Azerbaijani frontier guards at the Frontier Point of Shikhli on the western Azerbaijani border with Georgia.
Elchin Guliyev, the Chief of the State Frontier Service, told journalists today that the Gazakh District Police Department initiated a criminal case on the mentioned fact. An investigation is underway. "The Interior Ministry has taken the decision to deport a group of foreign citizens due to them breaking the residing laws of the country. Unfortunately, an incident occurred between these persons and the frontier guards. As a result of the incident, three Azerbaijani guards were wounded. The state of all three Azerbaijani soldiers is presently considered satisfactory," said Mr. Guliyev.
