Azerbaijan is Interested in Establishing Direct Relations with Kazakhstan Regions
Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Agayeva / The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, Latif Gandilov, informed Trend by telephone from Aktau that the possibilities to establish direct economic relations between Azerbaijan and the regions of Kazakhstan will be discussed during the visit of the Azerbaijan Minister of Economic Development, Heydar Babayev, to the Mangista region of Kazakhstan which commenced on 10 May. The Azerbaijan delegation includes more than 20 entrepreneurs.
The Ambassador said that during the visit, a business-forum will take place in Aktau with the participation of the entrepreneurs of the two countries. In addition, attended also by the Azerbaijani entrepreneurs, an Investment Possibilities of Western Kazakhstan exhibition will take place on 11 May. Furthermore, the delegation of Azerbaijan will hold a number of meetings with the head of the region to establish direct economic relations. The delegation also includes the head of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Foundation (AZPROMO).
This visit is a response visit of the delegation which was chaired by the Head of Mangista region, Krimbey Kushegbayev, to Azerbaijan. The meeting with Heydar Babayev focused on the prospects of co-operation between the two countries and Babayev was invited to visit Kazakhstan.
