Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend P.Kesamanski / The Iranian nuclear program is of a peaceful nature and the western countries cannot make Iranian people step back from its way.

The world powers will have to respect the Iranian people's rights, the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejat stated at a news conference in Baku on 22 August for Azerbaijani and Iranian journalists. He was commenting on the Iranian nuclear program.

Ahmedinejat said that Iran intends to use nuclear technology for peaceful objectives and for the bright future of their nation.

"Great powers, who are thinking only for their own benefit, try to prevent Iran from using nuclear technology," the Iranian President said.

Iran demands its rights within the frame of the law. "They cannot find any grounds against Iran and are looking for political reasons, trying to deprive the Iranian people of their rights and achievement of legal objectives,' he stressed.

The Iranian President is concerned that many countries for their own benefit use their power in foreign policy to speak about peace and stability. On democracy, they are only thinking of their own interests.

The policy of these countries, which poses a problem for the world community, should be stopped. The Iranian leader called on other countries to reject the hospitality and respect every nation's interests.

Despite economic sanctions and psychological fighting, the people of Iran will not step back from its way.

"We hope to witness the establishment of peace, security and stability," the Iranian President said.
