Azerbaijan, Baku, 6 March / corr. Trend Z. Safarov / Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyrov is rated second in the first round of the FIDE Grand-Prix, which will start on 20 April in Baku.
According to the list of participants of the Grand Prix, the bronze medalist of European Championship Mammadyarov is left behind only by Russia Peter Swidler who is being rated as first. Teymur Rajabov, the other Azerbaijani grandmaster is rated third in the competition. Vugar Hashimov will also represent Azerbaijan in Grand Prix.
The grandmasters from other countries including Magnus Karslen, Sergey Karyakin, Michael Adams, Gata Kamski, Ivan Cheparinov, Aleksandr Grishuk, Eten Bakro, Yu Vong, Ernesto Inarkiyev and David Navara will attend the Grand Prix as well.
