(digitalspy.co.uk) - Madonna has revealed that she took ecstasy and marijuana in her early career.The singer revealed her drug history during an acceptance speech for her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.Speaking at New York's Waldorf Astoria hotel, she said: "The night I met Michael Rosenblatt, who signed me to Sire Records, I jammed my demo tape into his hand, we both did a tab of ecstasy and then we danced the night away."Talking about her first meeting with publicist Liz Rosenberg, she said: "We smoked a joint together."The veteran popstar also used the speech to thank her critics, claiming they had inspired her to improve as an artist.She commented: "The ones that said I was talentless, that I was chubby, that I couldn't sing, that I was a one-hit wonder. They pushed me to be better, and I am grateful for their resistance."
