Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan, 21 July/ Trend , corr E. Mammadov/ A total of 10 burial places dating back to the Bronze Age have been discovered in the ruins of old Gilan city in Ordubad region of Nakhchivan as a result of the joint expedition of the Archeology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NASA) and branch of History, Ethnography and Archeology Institute of NASA in Nakhchivan, Zakir Rzayev, archeologist of Nakhchivan department of NASA said to Trend .
According to the archeologist, the expedition team led by the member of the Archeology Institute of NASA Bahlul Ibrahimov has begun archeological dig in the area where the ruins of old Gilan city and remains of the cultural samples were discovered in the early July.
The excavation dig will continue till the end of September.
