Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 September / Trend corr. R.Ergun / Serious changes took place in the Azerbaijani football, Azad Rahimov, the Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sport, said.
"I always said that we had a strong football school and at present I consider that great changes have taken place in the Azerbaijani football recently. We have begun to gain considerable achievements," Rahimov said at a news conference, dedicated to the project Milan Junior Camp, in Baku on 30 September.
The Azerbaijani National football team lost at one match and played in drawn at the second match under qualification stage of the World Championship 2010.
Efforts of German coaches at the Azerbaijani National team and clubs have begun to yield fruits, Ramin Musayev, the President of the Professional Football League, who participated in the news-conference, said.
"At present we are laying a base of cooperation with Milan club of Italy. I would recommend to all our clubs to cooperate with such famous teams," Musayev said.
