Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 29/ Trend , S. Kazimli/ Care of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation towards the children and its constant attention to their life and condition is praiseworthy, MP Fattah Heydarov said to Trend .
"Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and representative to several international organizations, has always paid great attention to children, their plight and upbringing," Heydarov said.
Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Good-will Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, first lady of Azerbaijan and member of parliament was announced Person of Year of Azerbaijan for protection of children's rights.
Young Leaders children's organization announced Azerbaijan's first lady Person of the Year for protection of children's rights, addressing their social problems and children's integration to Europe.
According to the poll conducted by the Young Leaders children's organization in 2008, Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded Person of the Year, chairman of the organization Farid Shahbazov told press conference held in TREND news company.
Heydarov said Heydar Aliyev Foundation and President of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva always thinks about construction of children's homes and schools, their repairs and supply with necessary equipment.
"All these activities are obvious. We can see results of this care even in remote areas of Azerbaijan. This is a great attention. Because children are our future," he said. "This is care towards future of Azerbaijani society."
"Care and attention towards children indicates to what extend the society is civilized. National leader Heydar Aliyev cared about children in spite of his tough schedule," Heydarov added.
