Expenditures to ensure security of all educational institutions will be included in the public budget in 2010, Education Minister Misir Mardanov told journalists.
"All state educational institutions will be protected by the state, all employees of the education sphere and students must be confident that their security will be provided," the minister said.
The Education Ministry has not yet had opportunities to provide security of all educational institutions due to the lack of finance, the minister said.
"It is impossible to ensure security of all educational institutions within a short period of time," Mardanov said. The ministry will strengthen protection of giant educational institutions in 2010, he added.
An armed man attacked Building 2 of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy at early morning on April 30. According to preliminary reports, the armed man killed 12 and wounded 13. The joint statement by the Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office said the attack was committed by 29-year-old Georgian citizen Gadirov Farda Asad oglu by Makarov revolver.
A suit has been filed on murder for hooliganism purposes (120.2.2), brutal murder (120.2.4), murdering more than one people (120.2.7), and an attempt of murder (29, 120.2.7) and illegal storing of arms (228.1).
