Azerbaijani Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova has applied to the court of Sabail region of Baku due to arrest of young people.
In her appeal, she calls for consideration of an alternative punishment towards young people but not imprisonment, Ombudsman's Office told Trend on September 2.
According to the official information, drunk Emin Milli (Abdullayev), Adnan Hajizadeh and other five people have beaten Vusal Mammadov and Babek Huseynov when Mammadov and Huseynov demanded to cease abusing in Lebonese restaurant on Julu 9 at 18:00.
Young people are accused on the articles 221.2.1 (hooliganism) and 127 (intentional health hazard) of the Criminal Code. Young people deny accusations and call this arrest as contracted one.
Ombudsman calls for taking into account numerous appeals due to the case of young people, as well as the fact that they have not been condemned before.
The international organizations call for their release without any conditions.
