In Azerbaijan, the editor-in-chief, who was accused of hooliganism and extortion, was hospitalized in connection with the deterioration of his health.
The trial on the editor-in-chief of Ideal newspaper Nazim Guliyev was postponed due to the fact that he was hospitalized, a source at the Court on Heinous Crimes told Trend on Sept. 18.
Guliyev was charged under articles 182.2 (extortion), 182.2.3 (extortion with violence), 221.1 (disorderly conduct) and 234.1 (illegal purchase or possession for sale, manufacture, production, processing, transport, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
