The delegation of the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) under the Azerbaijani President led by the head of the Council, MP Azay Guliyev, left for Croatia.

"The aim of the one-week visit is to familiarize with the leading European experience in the NGO activity," the council told Trend .

During the visit, the delegation will mull the standards and procedures to implement the national strategy on support to the civil society development, allocation of funds from the public budget to implement programs aimed at developing civil society and mechanisms for identifying priority areas for funding. "The delegation will get familiarized with the reforms on public management, establishment process of training centers for NGOs and registration of NGOs in Croatia, the same source said.

Under the program on study of international experience in the development of the NGO the Azerbaijani governmental delegation visited Hungary in 2007 and the leadership of the Council visited the U.S. state of Seattle in 2008, the source said.
