Azerbaijan, Baku, May 26 / Trend H.Bagirov /

An Azerbaijani court did not granted the Prosecutor General's Office' appeal to tighten penalties of brothers accused of the murder of young sisters.

The Azerbaijani Supreme Cassation Court considered a protest filed against convicted Tavakkul Ismayilov, Elchin Ismayilov and Elnur Ismayilov, who were convicted of murdering sisters Naila and Reyhana Majidova.

The court did not grant the appeal to toughen penalties of brothers Elchin and Elnur Ismayilov, as well as complaints of the suffered party to re-transfer the criminal case to preliminary investigation.

Prosecutors asked to sentence Elchin Ismayilov to 10 years imprisonment and Elnur Ismayilov - 15 years.

The brothers were charged of murdering Dag Bilidzhi village residents 14-year-old and seven-year Naila and Reyhan Mejidova.

Tavakkul Ismailov was sentenced to life in prison, Elnur Ismayilov to six years, and Elchin Ismayilov to four years.
