Azerbaijani, Romanian institutions sign memorandum of cooperation (PHOTO)

The Azerbaijani Ziya Bunyadov Institute of Oriental Studies and the Romanian Institute of Turkic and Central Asian Studies signed a memorandum of cooperation this week, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania said. The document envisages joint research.

The Azerbaijani Ziya Bunyadov Institute of Oriental Studies and the Romanian Institute of Turkic and Central Asian Studies signed a memorandum of cooperation this week, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania said. The document envisages joint research.

The memorandum was signed upon the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Cluj-Napoca during the international conference on "Dialogue Between the East and the West."

The memorandum also envisages visits by scientists from the two countries who will read lectures on the history and the culture of the Turkic and Central Asian peoples, as well as the joint use of libraries and archives, training sessions and joint seminars and conferences.

MP, Ziya Bunyadov Institute of Oriental Studies Deputy Director Govher Bakhshaliyeva, MPs Gultekin Hajibeyli and Fazil Mustafa, Romanian Presidential Adviser Peter Eckstein Kovacs, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Romania Eldar Hasanov, and many other guests attended the signing ceremony.
