Azerbaijani Chess Federation President expects from the national team championship at the World Chess Olympiad 2010 and the repetition of successes of a year ago at the World Cup.
"After winning the team championship in 2009, we expect similar results in the World Chess Olympiad," Azerbaijani Chess Federation President Elman Rustamov said today at a meeting with the national team.
World Chess Olympiad-2010 will be held in the capital of Ugra - Khanty-Mansiysk from Sept. 20 to October 4. For the first time the World Chess Olympiad will be attended by 2,000 participants from 160 countries. Along with the competitions the 81st Congress of the World Chess Federation will be held.
According to Rustamov, chess show culture, potential and level of intelligence of the people.
