The selective statistical study of the population will be held in Uzbekistan on April 21-30. It is conducted according to the relevant decision of the president.
The objectives of the study are to clarify the calculations of the country's population and other demographic indices to develop the targeted programs for social and economic development of the areas and programs to create new jobs and further develop national statistical surveys, the document said.
The selective statistical study of the population will be held in each region and city of Uzbekistan. About 10 percent of the population will be covered.
The form is made in two languages (Uzbek and Russian). It consists of 12 questions. The document is filled for each family member separately. The documents of respondents are not checked.
The employees of statistics, as well as teachers, senior students of universities, teachers of colleges and schools will be involved in data collection. Their work will be paid.
The analysis of the results of the study will be completed by July 1, 2011.
The Uzbek population increased by 1.7 percent and hit more than 28.233 million people in 2010.
More than 17.157 million people are able to work.
