Azerbaijani Paralympic team leaves for London (PHOTO)

Paralympic athletes who will represent Azerbaijan at XIV Summer Paralympics have gone to London, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Ismail Ismailov said. Together with Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee Afig Suleymanov, he saw off the athletes at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Ismailov wished the athletes success and new medals.
The team was trained at the appropriate level, Suleymanov said.
"The athletes were trained at a high level," he said. "I hope they will gain at least five gold medals."
The games will start in London on August 29.
Azerbaijan will be represented by 21 athletes, including five women, in six kinds of sports. The Azerbaijani team includes two weightlifters, eight athletes, one swimmer, seven judokas, two marksmen and one archer.
