The winner of a final race in the category Gymkhana city drift of City Challenge race, held in Baku is revealed.
The winner is Luksemburq driver in BMW M5 car Rohan Van Riel.
A qualifying session and City Challenge sprint race started in Baku on Saturday.
Gymkhana city drift requires execution of various maneuvers from pilots. The winner is the pilot who maneuvers more skillfully.
The cars taking part in the race are: Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Audi R8 LMS, BMW Z4 GT3, Ferrari 458 İtalia GT3, Lamborghini Gallardo LP 600 +, and Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3.
The 2.1-km long City Challenge race circuit runs round Government House. Ten teams represented by two pilot drivers will take part. During the competition all safety rules are respected in accordance with the requirements of the local Auto Transport Federation and international standards.
The races will be observed by about 300 million people in over 120 countries and Baku will be in the spotlight of the world.
Previously, City Challenge was held in Budapest and Bucharest.
