UNESCO Director-General from 1987-1999, member of the Board of Trustees of the International Center of Nizami Ganjavi, Federico Mayor Zaragoza will visit Baku in July with the support of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan, the press service of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the purpose of the former UNESCO Director-General's visit is to prepare a plan of joint activities with the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and co-chair of the International Center of Nizami Ganjavi Ismail Serageldin as well as the announcement of the establishment of the Global Leaders Council that will function with the support of a number of authoritative international organizations.
As part of his visit, it is scheduled to decide on the next plan of activities of the South Caucasus Forum organized by the International Centre of Nizami Ganjavi and the Madrid club.
Meetings at the State Committee for Work with Diaspora have also been planned.
