Over the last month the Relief Fund assistance to the armed forces of Azerbaijan rose by 764,962 AZN, the Defense Ministry told Trend Sept.2.
Prior to September 1, 2014 AZN account of the Relief Fund amounted to 57,154,936 AZN, and the dollar account - $211,791, the euro account - 593 euros.
The increase in funds occurred only in the AZN account. The amount of funds in the account of dollars and euros has not changed. Thus, the amount of funds in the account exceeded $7,377,000.
The Armed Forces Relief Fund was created by presidential decree on August 17, 2002. The relief fund for the armed forces is formed by the voluntary contributions of individuals and entities operating in Azerbaijan and other revenue not prohibited by law, the decree says.
The official exchange rate on 2 September is 0.7844 AZN / USD.
