Azerbaijani nationals can be deprived of citizenship for actions aimed at violently changing the country's constitutional order and for terrorist activity, according to the amendments to the "Law on Citizenship of Azerbaijan".
The amendments were approved at a plenary session of the country's parliament Dec. 4.
The changes also stipulate the deprivation of citizenship for taking part or being involved in armed confrontations abroad motivated by religious enmity, creation of a group for that purpose, as well as participation in military actions abroad under the guise of studying religion.
