Daniel Ricciardo, an Australian racing driver for Red Bull Racing team, is looking forward to competing at the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe when it rolls into Azerbaijan, femalefirst.co.uk, the UK's largest independently-owned news website reported.

The Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe will be held in Baku on June 17-19.

The European race returns to the F1 calendar for the first time since it was discontinued in 2013 and it will be held on the Baku City Circuit for the very first time.

Another tricky street track awaits the drivers in Azerbaijan and the event will cap off three consecutive city outings, following on from Monaco and the Canadian Grand Prix, which takes place on June 12, the article says.

Ricciardo is excited about testing out his skills on a new circuit and he believed the playing field will be level as everyone tries to get accustomed to the new venue.

"[After Canada], it's on to Baku, and I'm excited to go there because it's a new track so it's going to be a challenge for everyone," he said.
