Storage facilities for coronavirus vaccines are being created in Azerbaijan's Shusha city, Head of the Health Organization Department at the Azerbaijani Health Ministry Teymur Musayev said during a briefing held on Jan.16, Trend reports.
The facilities will start functioning soon, he added.
According to Musayev, all medical facilities in the country are fully ready for the vaccination.
"When vaccinating against the coronavirus, the main principle will be voluntary participation in the process," he also noted. "The strategy will focus on safety, transparency, phasing, fairness, responsibility and cooperation. The main goal is to stabilize the epidemiological situation, reduce cases of disease and deaths."
At the first stage, people at high risk will be vaccinated, and at the second stage - people over 50 years old, as well as people who have at least one chronic disease," summed up the ministry official.
