BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. Conditions at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku allow for effective training, Icelandic athlete Markus Palsen, taking part in the 15th European TeamGym Championship, which is held in the capital city for the first time, told Trend.
He pointed out that the arena has all necessary equipment.
According to the gymnast, strong athletes are competing in the event.
“We can say that the strongest teams in Europe are competing here. I consider my team to be one of the best. Our goal is to win medals,” Palsen added.
To note, Baku is hosting the European TeamGym Championship from October 16 through 19.
The competition is attended by teams from the Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, Finland, the UK, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, and Sweden, as well as the national team of Azerbaijan, representing the hosts of the championship.
