Lawyers wishing to partake in examinations to be appointed a judge should have at least 5 years of work experience in this sphere, chairman of Judge Selection Committee Iman Nagayev told Trend.
As per the law, only Azeri citizens over 30 years of age may partake in these examinations. Citizens that submitted appropriate document may partake in examinations that will initially be conducted using the test system. Upon dissemination of the information on document acceptance, Judge Selection committee and Court-Legal council started talking on technical issues regarding examinations.
Azeri government is ensuring participation of observers and experts from EC, as well as those of other international organizations, at this selection.
In the course of execution of the relevant order signed by president, additional judge posts have been opened up. As a result, number of vacant judge posts exceeded 100.
