Zarbaliyeva/ The appeal put forward against the sentence passed to the former Chief of the Police of Ganja City, Natig Efendiyev, is expected to be considered in the court presided by Judge Vidadi Hashimov on April 17, 2007. A lawyer of Mr. Efendiyev, Vugar Khasayev has informed Trend today.
Notably, by the sentence passed by the Dashkasan District of Azerbaijan, Mr. Efendiyev, accused of Article 228.2 (illegal possession and bearing of arm) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan Republic, was setntenced to five-year imprisonment. The Court of Appeal did not satisfied the appeal initiated due to the sentence, and remained the latter in force.
