Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.E.Huseyinli / Tofik Allahverdiyev, the lawyer of Rovshan Novruzoglu, the director of the Centre on struggle against the international terrorism and corruption and political scientist, has stated that measures on protection of Novruzoglu have been taken to prove groundlessness of accusations against him.
According to Allahverdiyev, Novruzoglu has been satisfied by the conditions in the prison and has no health problems. While Novruzoglu has not been agreed with accusations against him. A criminal case has been filed against Allahverdiyev with contravening Articles 320.1 (forgery of documents), 320.2 (use of false documents) and 310 (abuse of powers) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Novruzoglu was imprisoned by the decision of Nasimi District Court of Baku City on the base of documents submitted by the Executive Administration of Baku.
Novruzoglu has been charged with fraud, presenting himself as the official of the Prosecutor General's Office and Department on struggle against corruption at the Prosecutor General's Office of the country. The investigation on the case has been holding by the Investigation Department of the Grave Court of Azerbaijan.
Novruzoglu has been kept in the investigation cell at the Azerbaijani National Security Ministry.
