Azerbaijan's non-oil export notably up in 9M2021

Azerbaijan's non-oil exports have increased from January through September 2021, Trend reports citing the monthly ‘Export Review’ of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of the country.

According to the center, this figure amounted to $1.6 billion, up by $525.3 million or 40.9 percent on annual basis.

In the first nine months of 2021, the share of fruit and vegetable products in non-oil exports amounted to $398.9 million, the center said.

Through the reporting period, a 2.3-fold increase was recorded in exports of ferrous metals and their products, cotton yarn - 3.3 times, sugar - 2.2 times, chemical products – 2.1 times, cotton fiber – 80.8 percent, aluminum, and its products - by 55.8 percent.

Besides, in September, non-oil exports grew by $46.2 million or 34.5 percent, compared to the same month of 2020, and export of non-food products - by $178.5 million or 90 percent.

The largest importers of Azerbaijani non-oil products are Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, Georgia, and the US.
