BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. UK’s Henley & Partners company, global leader in residence and citizenship by investment, has published new World Passport Index ranking, Trend reports via the company.

According to the ranking, as of April 5, 2022, Azerbaijan settled for 75th place, thus having retained its position [compared to the previous ranking].

The Azerbaijani citizens can visit 69 countries without having to apply for a visa.

The latest results from the ranking showed the widest recorded global mobility gap since the index’s inception 17 years ago. Without taking COVID-19-related restrictions into account, passport holders of the two Asian countries, Japan and Singapore can now enter 192 destinations visa-free or with visa on arrival – 166 more than Afghanistan, which ranked last (112th place, 26 destinations).

Germany and South Korea shared the second position, with passport holders able to access 190 destinations visa-free, and Iraq ranked 111th with 28 destinations.
