BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. The export value of products of Azerbaijan's SOCAR Polymer decreased from January through July 2022, the country's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication told Trend.
According to the center, this figure amounted to $105.7 million, down by $17 million (13.85 percent) in annual terms.
Nevertheless, SOCAR Polymer became one of the leaders of public sector of Azerbaijan in terms of exports.
The construction of SOCAR Polymer plants has become the first large-scale project of the country's petrochemical industry over the past 40 years.
The company’s production facilities consisting of polypropylene (PP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plants are located on the territory of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP).
The PP and HDPE plants were commissioned in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
