BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Azerbaijan imported 201.1 tons of coffee worth $1.9 million from January through July 2022, Trend reports on October 12 via the State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, the value and volume of coffee imports grew by 34 percent and 19.6 percent on annual basis, respectively.

In the first seven months of this year, 57.8 tons of coffee were imported from Italy (an increase of 53 percent over the year) in the amount of $752,000 (up by 33.3 percent), 22.1 tons - from Russia (an increase of 4.4 times) in the amount of $157,000 (growth by 5.6 times), 40.1 tons – from Türkiye (an increase of 16 percent) in the amount of $279,000, and 31 tons worth $197,000 - from Brazil.

Meanwhile, the import of coffee from Panama and Peru resumed [previously the product was last time imported from these countries in October 2019 and May 2021, respectively]. A total of 10 kg of coffee worth $40 was imported from Panama and 300 kg in the amount of $2,000 from Peru from January through July this year.
