BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. A total of 2,964 tons of compound feed have been exported from Russia's Stavropol to Azerbaijan since the beginning of this year, Trend reports via Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor).
To determine the quarantine phytosanitary state of products, the Rosselkhoznadzor administration collected samples and submitted them to laboratories under its control for examination.
Grain processing products should be free of the bruchid beetle (Caryedon gonagra), bean weevil (Zabrotes subfassiatus), flea beetle (Trogoderma granarium), and granary weevil (Caulophilus latinasus).
Compound feed is a mixture of grain raw materials, and products with a high protein content, vitamins, and trace elements for animal feeding.
In January 2023, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan at current prices amounted to 456.2 million manat ($268.3 million), which is 3.3 percent higher than in 2022.
During the reporting period, livestock production increased by 3.4 percent, up to 433.1 million manat ($254.7 million), while crop production value reached 23.1 million manat ($13.5 million), rising by 2 percent.
