BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 2. The adoption of a strategy on information security and cybersecurity in Azerbaijan is a significant achievement, an official of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said during the III summit of IT executives of state agencies held in Baku, Trend reports.
"We face many challenges for the current moment and the coming years. The strategy has clearly defined objectives and developed an action plan that includes activities for each organization. Our main task now is to successfully implement this plan. Holding such summits is an important part of this process. The work is being done in state institutions as well. The Cabinet of Ministers has created a working group to coordinate actions. Specific instructions have also been given to the authorities and specialized institutions for the timely implementation of the action plan. We hope that, through our joint efforts, this national strategy will be successfully implemented. The main result will be more effective use of information technologies, which have already become an integral part of our lives," he said.
To note, the III summit of IT heads of state institutions organized by the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan was held in Baku. More than 100 representatives of 73 state institutions took part in the event.
