The volume of construction work completed in Uzbekistan from January through April 2021 in value terms amounted to 29.5 trillion soums ($2.8 billion), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the committee, the growth rate of construction work completed in Uzbekistan compared to the corresponding period of 2020 amounted to eight percent.
It is reported that state-owned organizations completed construction work for a total of 1.3 trillion soums ($123 million), while their share in the country accounted for 4.3 percent.
At the same time, non-governmental organizations completed construction work in the amount of 2.3 trillion soums ($217 million) with a share of 95.7 percent.
In the structure of the total volume of construction work, large construction organizations completed work in the amount of 6.9 trillion soums ($652 million).
Also, the volume of construction work carried out by small enterprises and micro firms amounted to 17.7 trillion soums ($1.7 billion).
Earlier it was reported that the total cost of completed construction works in Uzbekistan for the first three months of 2021 increased by five percent.
It is reported that almost a quarter (24.6 percent) of all construction work completed in the first quarter falls on Tashkent. It is followed by Tashkent region - 9.6 percent, Kashkadarya region - 6.7 percent, Bukhara region - 6.6 percent, Samarkand region - 6.6, Fergana region - 6.6 percent, Surkhandarya region - 5.5 percent, Namangan region - 5.1 percent, Andijan region - 4.8 percent, Navoi region - 4.7 percent and Karakalpakstan - 4.4 percent.
The least share of construction work completed in Uzbekistan for the reporting period fell of Khorezm region - 3.3 percent, Jizzakh region - 2.9 percent, and Syrdarya region - 2.9 percent.
